We introduced a new credit-balance program in one of our locations. We implemented Trend Health Partners’ credit-balance program, which we did not have before, because we were so impressed and happy with Trend Health Partners’ performance and how they were growing and expanding on their services. Things were also a bit lackluster with how one of our other vendors was performing. So we decided to put Trend Health Partners in that area, and they are doing great things.

Trend Health Partners is like the crème de la crème of credit balance. We had multiple vendors in the credit balance space, and now we are down to just a few vendors because Trend Health Partners has been doing so well. We were able to reallocate work to them that was once assigned to other vendors. That is a testament to how well Trend Health Partners is doing. We have had challenges with other credit balance vendors who have failed in their QA efforts. That has caused a lot of false positives. However, with Trend Health Partners, we have had maybe two incidents where a claim has been mispriced. That is another huge testament to how well the vendor is doing.

If someone approached me about using Trend Health Partners, I would tell them to absolutely do it. The best thing about Trend Health Partners is that there is low provider abrasion because the vendor works hand in hand with the provider instead of us having to send literature to the provider to tell them how they have misbilled things and need to correct their payments right away. With TRENDConnect, we have more of a partnership with the providers. The providers like the solution because they can get liabilities off their books. I would say it is a cleaner payment integrity program.
